This Remembrance Day, De Lisle college celebrated and commemorated the lives of those who fought for our country. Each year group engaged in a short but moving act of worship where we learnt about the pivotal battles of World War 2. The section on D day was particularly effective and heart-warming as we listened to a song from the youngest surviving D-Day veteran detailing his experiences of the Normandy landings We finished the act of worship with a moment of silence and a performance of ‘the last post’ to reflect on the sacrifices people made for our today.
