On Wednesday 26th February, students from years 7-11 at St Martin’s all attended a very important liturgy marking the beginning of the Lenten season. It was a reflective and powerful service and the sense of community was strong, as all came together to worship and remember the importance of lent. After the liturgy, students proudly continued to wear their ash crosses as an outward sign to the world of their faith in Christ who died to forgive their sins. The student’s willingness to participate in the liturgy was evident with students taking responsibility for reading, singing in the choir, and distributing the ashes. Millie, Year 8.
