STAY AWAKE

This week in our whole school assembly we looked at the parable of the Bridemaids who stayed awake for the return of the Groom. We thought about how we can get ready for the time when Jesus returns to us. We thought about how we can be ready and awake.

Our mission this week is to be as kind to others as we can be. Therefore, our hearts will be showing love. This was Jesus’s most important commandment. We hope we will see people in school showing random acts of kindness to each other.

In the Gospel of St Matthew we hear Jesus say:

Stay awake, for you do not know either the day or the hour. Matthew 25:13

Today at our achiever’s assembly our Head Girl and Head boy awarded Molly in Year 5 a certificate for showing compassion to another pupil who was upset. We thank Molly for living out our motto and for showing kindness to others.

Year 3/4 think that Unathi in Year 4/5 has been showing love and respect for God’s world this week as he was given the environmental award. He has cared for our animals and our planet and therefore has show love to God. Thank you Unathi.
