Making an Easter Garden is a great way for children to fully understand what we celebrate on Easter Sunday.
This year, The Friends of St Clare’s, our parents’ association, challenged the children to make an Easter Garden during the Easter holidays with prizes available for the best ones.
An Easter Garden is traditionally made of soil, plants and a rock as well as featuring the three crosses which were present at the crucifixion and the empty tomb from where Christ arose.
The pupils were invited to use any medium they chose in making their own Easter Garden and we were amazed by the entries! Some were tradition gardens, but we also had paper models, a garden in a jar, one made of clay and even one made completely of Lego!
