This week’s theme is Evangelising and spreading the Good News!!
How can you evangelise this week? How can you show people what is truly important and set a good example?
Pope Francis tell us that we should not look in on ourselves but instead take the Joy of the Gospel out to those people who need to hear it.
The Bible tells us that Jesus travelled all around the countryside. He went to many different towns and villages, and everywhere he went he saw crowds of people who were lost and helpless. It broke his heart. One day, he turned to his followers and said to them, “There are so many who need help, but there are not enough who are willing to help them. Get on your knees and pray that the Lord will send workers to help them.”
When they had finished praying, Jesus called twelve of his followers to come to him. “Go,” he said, “heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons.” Do you know what else Jesus told his disciples? He said, “As you go, preach this message: The kingdom of heaven has come near.’
When we get some Good News, we don’t always have the time to share it and to celebrate it. Think of some good news that you have received recently. Did you get a good mark for your work? Is there any good news in your family? Are there any exciting events coming up soon? Here are some staff and students celebrating their joys and good news!!! Millie-Year 9
