Four Year 6 pupils led Lectio Divina for their fellow class members. They spent their beak times meeting together to plan the scripture they wanted to use; the image to be displayed throughout on the whiteboard and the hymns and music they wanted to play before, during and after. After choosing, ‘Love your enemies’, they planned an activity where everyone was asked to draw a heart on to a piece of paper. Within the heart, the children wrote why it can be hard to forgive and around it how we can forgive. Since it is the month of May, they included a statue of Mary and a set of Rosary beads within they focal point. Afterwards, lots of their class members offered positive comments and, within and around their hearts, produced some thoughtful ideas.
