“Gone but not Gone”

Mark 16: 15 – 20  And so the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven.

On Ascension Day (13th May), we remembered how Jesus was honoured by God and taken up to heaven. We also remembered the instructions Jesus left His disciples: to share the good news and do incredible things through the power He would give them. This week we are going to consider how we can honour Jesus and follow His instructions to the disciples ourselves.

Our mission this week:

Jesus told His disciples to share the good news – who could you share the good news with this week?

    Our mission this week:

In year 3, we have been thinking about how we can spread the Good News and who we can share it with. This week, we have shared the good news with our families, friends and teachers; we have prayed for our parents, our grandparents and our pets who are in heaven. As part of our class liturgy, we spread the good news by reading a story from the Bible about looking after God’s Kingdom and we all picked up some litter to help keep God’s creation clean. At home in our spare time, we read stories from the Bible and shared these stories with our younger brothers and sisters. We understand the importance of sharing the good news so that we can share God’s love.
