Palm Sunday
(Luke 19: 28-40)

(5th Week of Lent)
Lent is a truly special Journey that helps us walk with, and get closer to Jesus. By trying to walk in his footsteps we can understand better about sacrifice and love. This about your journey through lent so far – how hard has it been? What have been the struggles you have faced? This week think about what you’ve learnt from your journey and just how far you’ve come.
During the fifth week of Lent a plaster reminds us of all those in our world who are sad and hurting. This week say a prayer for all those children in the world who are sad or hurting.

This week in RE, we have thought about the pain and suffering Jesus endured on His way to the cross. When we thought about the way he was taunted and the physical injuries he suffered (from the whipping to the nails and the crown of thorns) our amazement and love for Him deepened. Each day, we have continued to pray for Ukraine at 3pm and especially the children (just like us) who have been affected by this. As part of our liturgy on Tuesday, we also reflected upon our own journeys during the Lent.
This week, Year 3 have reflected on the journey that they have taken through Lent so far, discussing the struggles they have faced, but also the wonderful things they have gained. In particular, this week’s mission has seen everyone strive hard to be examples of Jesus by being more loving, patient, merciful and kind. Following in Jesus’ footsteps this week has not only allowed us to become more closer to Jesus, but it has given us an increased understanding of his sacrifice and love.
