The Chaplaincy Team met for the termly review of how the classes were progressing with planning and leading class liturgies.
They looked through all of the “next steps” sheets in the class collective worship books and picked out the key themes.
They also reviewed last term’s whole school targets. They agreed that different music was now being used and that different activities for the mission aspect were being planned – these targets were met.
However, they thought that liturgies were only sometimes planned more independently so that target was marked as partially met and retained for another term for further development.
The two additional whole school targets were chosen to be:
- To gather in different ways and be more reverent
- To have different ways of sharing the scripture
These targets have been shared with all teaching staff and displayed next to the chaplaincy board in the hall.
