Matthew 16: 13 – 19
“You are Peter and, on this rock, I will build my Church.” Matthew 16: 18

Knowledge is one thing, but unless we understand it we can’t use it to make the world a better place. Understanding helps us take our knowledge and apply it to our lives. Think this week about how you could be more understanding. How could you empathise and really understand what your friends are thinking or feeling? It often involves making an effort and really listening.
Your mission is to think about how can you better understand the consequences of your decisions and actions this week?

In our Circle Time this week, 6B thought about the future. They considered how they are feeling about their upcoming transition to secondary school and what they can do if they are feeling worried about it. For example, they can look at the school website to find out more or talk to a trusted adult about their emotions. While at Conkers on Thursday, the children worked in small groups to build a scooter. This was a great way of developing certain character muscles – especially: problem solving, teamwork and perseverance. When difficulties arose, the groups had to find a way of overcoming them.
