We were delighted to welcome Father Gabriel to St Clare’s to lead us in our end of year Mass.
We were joined by parents and parishioners as we said goodbye to our Year 6 pupils and wished them well. We were brave and had our Mass outside and only had a couple of spots of rain to contend with!
Father reminded us that we should never give up, no matter how hard we find things. He told the children that they are privileged to have all of the resources that they have as children in Nigeria, his home country, have nothing. They also have to go to work on the farms after school. If children with nothing can succeed, so can they.
We were delighted that some of our visitors stayed after Mass for refreshments.
