This week’s word is Missionary Discipleship: as we are journeying through our fourth week of Eastertide.
Your mission is to complete Mrs Carter’s Challenge … Mrs Carter is challenging you to complete a full term of daily acts to help you on your journey to becoming a missionary disciple – how many can you complete? Cross off the challenges as you go, and when you have completed it, bring it in to show your Head of School and receive some well-deserved House Points.

Mrs Taylor’s class –
It makes us think about Jesus praying for us to make good choices.
It makes us feel prayerful and closer to God because it was about Jesus guiding his disciples and telling them about going back to His father.
We will try to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

What are you going to do as a result?
As a result, I am going to pray for people in my family who may not be well. (Thiago)
Alexa: Mrs Glassford’s assembly made me think about being a Missionary Disciple and giving to poorer children.
Neve & Thomas: Mrs Glassford’s assembly made me feel peaceful and happy because Jesus is with us.
Manny: We know that Jesus is with us and we should always try to be with him. I know that I want to be a missionary disciple now.
Jean: Mrs Glassford’s assembly made me realise how much we have and I was grateful. I realised that there are other people in the world that have nothing.
Oscar: I think that people should be happy with what they have got.
Mateusz: As a result of this, I will spread the Good News and try to be better at helping people.
Marlon: As a result, I will try to find opportunities to spread the Good News.
Nico: As a result, I will try my best to spread the Good News and I will pray more so that I will be closer to God.
What did it make you think about?
It made me think about how to become a Missionary Disciple and what I can do to live this out (Anopa)

How did it make you feel?
It made me feel happy because it is teaching me how to become a disciple of Jesus (Koen)
It made me feel like it is my purpose on this Earth to be a Missionary Disciple (Davina)

What are you going to do as a result?
I am going to spread the good news because I want to follow Jesus’ footsteps (Toby)
I am going to try to become a Missionary Disciple by completing some of Mrs Carter’s challenges (Michalina)
Josh: During the liturgy, I liked how Mrs Glassford read the scripture as if she was one of the disciples, so it felt as thought Jesus was with us.
Reggie: I can live out this mission by being a missionary disciple, by following and spreading the Word of God.
Olivia: I am going to try to be a missionary disciple by spreading the Word of Jesus: I could do this at school when I led a liturgy.
Ivin: In a response to this, I will try to live as a missionary disciple: leading my family in collective worship to bring them closer to God.

It made us think about how we can be missionary disciples each and everyday. We thought about examples of how we could do this.
It made us feel grateful because we are carrying out our Gospel value of service.
As a result, we are going to go home this weekend and complete Mrs Carter’s homework task. We are also going to follow in the footsteps of St. Paul because he is the patron saint of missionaries.
Miss Dodd’s class:
It made us think about our current RE unit and how the people we have been learning about are examples of missionary disciples: Mrs Maricho, who works for Mission Together, left her successful career to dedicate her life to teaching children, helping them to come closer to God. She has been driven to do this by listening to God’s word and taking inspiration from Him – ‘let the little children come to me’.
It made me feel like I have some responsibility to act and speak in a way that is positive and demonstrates the teachings of God.
I am going to keep a diary of my daily actions or words that show I am a follower of Jesus.
