On Wednesday we came together virtually for our CTK Weekly Word assemblies with Mrs Marshall and Mrs Glassford where we learned all about what it means lead by example and follow the example of Jesus Christ.
Our mission this week was to lead on an act of worship in your classroom as an example of a role model of faith. Perhaps you could put together a class liturgy, or guide the children in meditation or Lectio Divina.

The assembly made me think about when I set a good example- year 5 pupil
The story made me feel bad for Rosa that she wasn’t treated equally, but happy that she fought for her rights- year 5 pupil
I can going to make sure that things are equal in the word when I grow up- year 5 pupil
We are going to follow Jesus’ example by following in his footsteps. I might do this by being kind to others and making sure everyone has a friend to play with.

Ellie: The assembly made me think about how I can be a good example for others because Rose Parks is a great example. Jesus is the BEST example to us all though!
Carl: The assembly made me feel great because it showed that we can all be an example just like Jesus. It gave me confidence in myself.
Bruno: As a result of the assembly, I will try to be a better example to my sister and to others around me because that’s what Jesus taught us to do; He is our example awaiting us in Heaven.

It made me think about my parents because they set a good example for me and my brother (Charlotte).

What you might do as a result to be a witness of Jesus..
We are going to do a class liturgy which will be lead by some fantastic examples of our faith in our class.
I am going to follow Jesus’ footsteps by encouraging others to make the right choice.
In 3RK we are really excited about next week’s liturgy on choices. We are going to follow the mission by thinking about what we want to include in our class liturgy as part of our homework. We’re going to come in on Monday morning with lots of ideas for our gather, word, respond and mission so that we can create a great liturgy exploring what helps us to chose well.
Ronan: The assembly made me think about how the apostles were witnesses to Jesus’ work and how I can be a witness too.
Neve: Mrs Glassford’s assembly made me feel like I am more connected to God and I can witness God’s work.
Oscar: I will pray more and I will try to stay calm after following Jesus’ example.
Sonia: I really enjoyed the assembly because I learnt all about being a witness.
