Lent is a truly special journey that helps us walk with, and get closer to, Jesus. By trying to walk in his footsteps we can understand better about sacrifice and love. Think about your journey through Lent so far – how hard has it been? What have been the struggles you have faced? Think this week about what you’ve learnt from your journey and just how far you’ve come.
Mission: Reflect on your Lenten journey. Have you been able to do something extra?

This week, we have been thinking about our ‘journey’ through Lent. In Y6B, we linked this to our RE work and how during Lent Christians try to die to their old ways by doing the following three things: almsgiving, fasting and praying. The children could identify how they have given up their time for others, fasted (e.g. reducing then number of sweat treats they consume or giving up something like meat for Lent) and also spending more time in prayer.
