Scripture is the Word of God. It is a collection of sacred writings that tell the story of God’s love for humanity. As we read scripture, we learn about God’s plan for our lives, and we are inspired to live a life of faith. Scripture can also be a source of comfort and guidance in difficult times and speaks to us throughout our lives.

This week, each Mission Circle was given a piece of Scripture to learn. The children have enjoyed doing this and reflecting on the meaning of this, including what it reminds them of. Our ‘Sources’ topic in RE has also linked nicely with this with us learning from St Paul (in his letter to the people of Rome) how important Scripture is and that it is there to teach us something.
