Christ the King were chosen to visit St Barnabas Cathedral, Nottingham on Friday 11th October to lead the first Glorious Mystery of the Rosary. We led this through acting and Ivin even performed a song! We were joined by English Martyrs to represent the St Thomas Aquinas CMAT to show the resurrection of Jesus.

What we thought of it:
Leona (Y5): ‘We felt confident in leading our drama and prayers because Miss Bolam had practised lot’s with us and helped us out’
Jolie (Y6): ‘Hearing the Rosary and everyone praying the different parts made me feel peaceful and calm’
Anita (Y5): ‘It was good to represent our school because it made me feel proud. The cathedral was very colourful; there were lots of paintings and stained glass windows’
Ivin (Y6): ‘I felt proud to represent our CMAT. Before singing I felt really nervous, but when I got onto the altar next to Mother Mary I felt her power in me which made me feel joyful an confident’
Melody (Y6): ‘I was a bit nervous on the way to the Cathedral as I thought there might be thousands of people! When I got there everyone was calm and friendly and I felt prayerful’
