Thanks CTK!Braunstone Foodshare
Braunstone food bank visited Christ the King today to collect the AMAZING donations from our families. Year 4 and 5 chaplains and children helped the Food bank to box up the donations.
Ivin, year 5, interviewed Anne Short from the Foodbank:
When asked how she felt about the donations from CTK she said “I am so grateful. I know that this will make a huge difference to the users of our foodbank, especially near Christmas.”
Anne explained that working at the foodbank takes a lot of time and energy but that they are grateful for all of the support, especially from the Catholic schools in Leicester. Even though Christ the King donated lots of necessities, Anne explained that this would only last a week!
Ivin asked Anne if they wanted more next year:
Anne said, “We are so grateful for Christ the King’s donations each year. We are such a generous school and it was heart-warming to see so much goodness in the world.” Anne continued, “We would definitely struggle without CTK’s donations each year”
