This week in Mrs Glassford’s and Mrs Marshall’s assemblies we learnt all about Saints. Saint is a word that is sometimes used in comparison – Mrs Glassford explained it to us as “you’ve got the patience of a Saint”. But we now know the actual meaning of being a saint, which is someone who shows kindness. To be an official saint you must be known for your closeness to God.

We also learnt about Pope Francis’ teaching of being a saint. He said, ” we are all called to be saints.”

Miss Bolam’s class really liked the mission for this assembly which was to find out something about a saint. Amadis has already started to complete her mission by researching all about the Patron Saint of Ireland, St Patrick.
On Sunday, many of us celebrated the Feast of All Saints at Mass and our priests spoke to us about being like saints.
