On Friday, our year 3 and 4 chaplains led a wonderful liturgy all about how we can be the Easter people. They explained that the meaning of alleluia was to praise the Lord joyfully and set us the mission of this.
We heard a reading from the Gospel of Mark Mary visited the tomb and saw the Angel. This filled us with hope and joy. It was important for us to think about the Angel telling these people to not be afraid. This linked really well to our assembly on Wednesday with Father Lim where he spoke to us about being Mission Disciples. This is exactly what the 2 Mary’s did.
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus of Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.”Mark 16.6
