On Friday, our year 3 and 4 chaplains led a wonderful liturgy all about how we can be the Easter people. They explained that the meaning of alleluia was to praise the Lord joyfully and set us the mission of this.
We heard a reading from the Gospel of Mark Mary visited the tomb and saw the Angel. This filled us with hope and joy. It was important for us to think about the Angel telling these people to not be afraid. This linked really well to our assembly on Wednesday with Father Lim where he spoke to us about being Mission Disciples. This is exactly what the 2 Mary’s did.
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus of Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
Mark 16.6

Thanks to Tom Shannon and Mrs Kolinska who helped us by trialling a new was of live streaming – we really enjoyed it.

It was wonderful to be able to watch our Year 3 and 4 Chaplains leading us with their live liturgy all about how we can be the Easter people. There was time for us all to reflect on the joy and hope that is given to us during this wonderful celebration of Easter where Jesus has risen! Allelulia! Thank you for sharing this wonderful message, Mrs Darby
Miss Dodd’s class:
Think: How amazing it is that He is Risen! It feels like the sun is shining in my heart.
Feel: The music really moved me, I loved it – I’ve never heard that song before – I thought it was beautiful and it made me feel joyful.
Do: It made me want to share my joy with other people. I can show I am an Easter person by letting people know that God has risen for us and He loves us.
