We often hear about John the Baptist’s later life, but John was marked out by God from the moment of his birth. John and his parents courageously followed God’s call, as does modern-day evangelist Sister Clare Crocket whose story we’ve learnt about this week.
Today we have learnt that:
• John the Baptist was called by God to make Jesus known to others.
• We are each called to courageously follow God’s call to make Jesus’ love known to others
Our mission this week:
In Jesus’ time, John the Baptist was called to tell others about Jesus. In our time, Sister Clare Crockett is an example of someone who makes Jesus’ love known to others. We are also called to make Jesus’ love known. But we’re not all called to be nuns or monks! This week can you think of any ways in which you might help others to know Jesus’ love?
