On Monday, we came together for our Weekly Word assemblies with Mrs Glassford and Mrs Marshall. In these assemblies we thought about the word learning and about how much we can learn from God.

Our Mission this week was to research the saints that live out our year group’s Gospel Value. What can you learn from them? How can you take inspiration from them and use it in your life? Add to your Gospel Value classroom display about what you learn from these great examples.

Please comment below on the following questions …

  1. What the assembly made you think about
  2. How the assembly made you feel
  3. What you might do as a result of understanding the word Learning

6KT enjoyed finding out about the Weekly Word: learning.
Keisha: Mrs Carter’s assembly made me feel relaxed because we had reflection time to think about some questions. This helped prepared me for my day of learning.
Anopa: The Weekly Word assembly made me think about what positive habits I have and that I can have. I will try to use these virtues because they make us better people and help us in life.
O’sheen: Because of the assembly, I will try to follow St Thomas Aquinas trust rules.
Thank you Mrs Carter for teaching us about the virtues and how we can make these into positive habits.

1SL really enjoyed our weekly word assembly this week from Mrs Marshall all about: Learning.

Gabby – “We learn from Jesus how to be a good friend and show kindness and compassion.”

Evan – “Compassion means you are a nice friend to everyone! Jesus tells us to show compassion to each other.”

Essie – “I was thinking about how I can be nice to everyone on the playground and help them if they are sad or have hurt themselves.”

Chizurum – “God wants us to be compassionate and he teaches us love and kindness”.
