Our KS2 chaplains led another wonderful liturgy this week to celebrate National Youth Funday! Our Trust is celebrating the day on Thursday 18th November to raise money for the Youth Services of our Diocese such as the Briars Retreat. Our school is raising money by having a ‘Break the Rules’ day where the children pay 50p per rule broken, including:
- Own clothes
- Face paint
- Temporary tattoos
- Nail varnish
- Wacky hairstyles
The chaplains planned a liturgy which included what they think makes someone a child of God. Their words included: imaginative, curious, brave, energetic. We learnt in our liturgy that is not about your physical age; it is about your attitude to life that makes you child-like, not child-ish. After all, the scripture the chaplains chose told us: “Let the children come and do not stop them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”
Next week, comment below telling us what you learnt from the liturgy and how you will succeed in your mission.
