Our Chaplaincy teams 2022-23

We would like to congratulate and welcome the pupils who have been successfully voted into their new role of class chaplain as a member of our school Chaplaincy team. This is an important role within our school and these children, as well as other, will help us in our Catholic life in prayer, worship and service.

Our new chaplains for this year are:

As part of the role, the children will also evaluate our life in prayer and worship, offering their ideas for development of our Catholic life in school. The Chaplaincy group will help us to lead our local, national and international fundraising and to welcome visitors to our collective acts of worship.

Our overarching mission for our Chaplaincy team will be: To contribute to the school’s life in faith by leading our community in prayer, worship and the Catholic mission of service.

We are very excited about our new Chaplains and how they will to contribute to the Catholic life of Christ the King. This year, our Chaplains will also be working in connection with other schools in the St Thomas Aquinas multi-academy trust to live out our Gospel values of humility, compassion and service.

We are having a special training day led by Miss Dodd and Mrs Hainsworth, where both our Infant and Junior chaplaincy teams will come together, on Friday 30th September to learn more about our role and to begin planning some upcoming liturgies.
