Our Junior Chaplaincy team had a fantastic day with Chaplains Tom and Kieran at the Rosmini Centre, House of Prayer, this week. We shared the day getting to know one another better and building our teamwork skills, as well as spending time with some other children from English Martyrs’ Primary School in Oakham who have recently joined our Trust family.
We began the day with a short liturgy, exploring scripture read by Kaja about how the disciples were sent forth to spread the Good News, and how this is now our job as members of the chaplaincy team.
The team-building games we played included Gutter Ball, Bamboo Sticks and Electric Maze.
We then visited the Rosary Walk and explored the different mysteries of our faith, learning about their link to the decades of the Rosary.
We shared lunch and then spent the rest of our time together formulating an action plan for what we want to achieve together as a chaplaincy group this year. You can see our action plan here:
We finished the day by sharing a decade of the Rosary together as we are in the month of October. The chaplains really enjoyed spending time together and learning what strengths they bring to the team.
