On Monday, we had visitors Ginny and Ian from the Leicester Hebrew Congregation to teach us all about the Jewish faith. This was a fantastic way to start our Judaism week. The children learnt about the signs and symbols relating to the faith, including wearing the kippah on their head as a
sign of respect.

Our Y3 pupils are also visiting the local Synagogue on Tuesday to learn about the Jewish place of worship and how it is similar or different to the Christian place of worship: the Church.

We really learned a lot from the assembly. It was so interesting to see how they did everything, and they gave us such a clear explanation. We enjoyed learning about the Jewish Faith. 4LM/LW
We really enjoyed visiting the synagogue this week. We learned so much about the symbols within the Jewish faith and enjoyed looking more closely at mystery items, finding out what they were and how the Jewish people use them in their everyday lives. 3GH
