When we put knowledge and understanding together we gain wisdom. Wisdom comes from experience and learning from our mistakes – it takes time! Think about the people in your life who are wise, what can you learn from them? How can you use the experiences you’ve had in the past to help you make wise decisions in the future?

Our Mission – How could you make wise decisions in the future?

Have you ever made a bad decision?

How did you put it right? What did you learn?

In Y6B, the children were able to offer several examples of times when they had made a bad decision, had to put it right and learnt from it. This included the following: arguments with friends, where they had to say sorry, and in the future try to avoid getting into conflict; accidents invovling scooters, where they had got hurt, and they will therefore think about their actions more carefully another time; a football that had been kicked and smashed a glass vase; and times when they now listen to adult instructions (teachers and parents) the first time after suffering the consequences when they have not done so.
