Year 6 Chaplaincy Team led this weeks liturgy on our theme Rosary. All the children had a chance to say a pray and then place the candles around Mary. The mission this week is to try and come to our Rosary sessions at lunch time or on a Wednesday morning before school with Mrs Johnson. Let me know if you managed to make one of the Rosary sessions.

This week in year 5 we have thought about what the Rosary is and what it’s purpose is for us as catholic people.
Eireanna – “To pray to Mary because it is the month of Mary and without her we wouldn’t have Jesus.”
George – “To remind us that Mary brought Jesus into the world”
Buyi – “It’s about Mary and how she is the mother of Jesus.”
Ganga – “The prayer we do everyday for Mary, its important because she showed that we should be accepting like she was to angel Gabriel”
This week Reception have enjoyed learning about the Rosary. Most of us can name it now and are beginning to join in with the Hail Mary prayer. We really enjoyed making a giant Rosary in our child led liturgical prayer yesterday. Please see our CW evaluation book for photographs.
This week, we have held a rosary session in the classroom every day, and children have volunteered themselves to visit the rosary sessions at lunchtime. Our child led liturgy included a rosary session, and children were asked to reflect on their learning over the week.

Joseph – “It made me feel happy because I love the rosary challenge”
The children in Year 4 this week have been taking part in the Rosary Challenge each day and individual children have been attending the rosary at lunchtime or in the mornings.
