This week, the children have been exploring the meaning of the Catholic and Cardinal Virtues.
In Key Stage 1, the children have revised that a virtue is a good habit: something we choose to do regularly that helps us become more like Jesus.
In Key Stage 2, the children have revised the Catholic Virtues and revisited the work of St Thomas Aquinas. They explored how good habits help us to learn well, grow in virtue and build strong character.
The virtues we practise every day – such as showing good manners, ‘meeting and greeting’ and ‘fantastic walking’ – are all part of The CTK Way.
The children in Year 2 and Year 6 set a mission for the school each week. Our missions this week are:
Infant Mission: Show the virtue of Faith, Hope or Love through one small action each day.
Junior Mission: Choose one virtue that you find challenging and make a special effort to practise it throughout the week.
We look forward to hearing the Mission responses at the end of the week!
