On Tuesday, children and staff at Christ the King were joined by Father Cahil from St Peter’s, Leicester, to discuss how we might Encounter Christ. We have been focusing on Encounter throughout the Advent term, following the Bishop’s 3 themes for the year. So far, we have been thinking about encountering Christ through Prayer, Lectio Divina, Meditation and Masses.
In Miss Bolam’s class, we have encountered Christ through the beauty of the World – God’s creation.
Shayan (year 4), said that we could all encounter Christ through deep prayer and suggested that we all take a little time out each day to do this.
We can’t wait to encounter God in all different ways this half term – especially through our Feast of All Saints Mass on Friday!
