This week we watched our EYFS class liturgy. It was all about friendship. We were very impressed with them. They set up the prayer focus area and welcomed us all to their liturgy.
After we had listened to the Word – Colossians 3: 12-14 we reflected upon the qualities that a good friendship needs. EYFS then made friendship soup and put all these qualities into it.
“I loved watching how everyone had so much fun taking part in making the soup,” said Nathan.
“It looks like great fun,” said Owen.
After making the soup we listened to some prayers they had written together.
We were then given our mission which was to offer the hand of friendship to anyone that needed it. We were also asked to elect a class friendship buddy. EYFS ended their liturgy by putting actions to the song “Count on me,” by Bruno Mars.
Violet said that she loved the song as it fitted really well with the theme. Mahi also agreed with this adding that the actions were great.
Overall we gave them a 10 out of 10 for effort, following the correct structure of a liturgy, using the correct responses and making it very practical and visual to watch.
So well done EYFS you should feel very proud of yourselves!
