This week our chaplaincy group led our class liturgy. They wanted to combine the theme wisdom with our RE topic which is Treasures.
They chose the gather which was to sit quietly in an outside place and remember how beautiful God’s creation is. Their plan was to have our liturgy outside but unfortunately the weather was not on our side and we ended up having it in our classroom.
They set up the prayer focus area, and under Elspeth’s guidance were told not to just put anything on, but to think about how it links to our theme. We had books on their because books give us knowledge, both our workbooks and the bible as the bible gives us good judgement and shows us how to make the right choices.
We listened to Our God and joined in with actions. The word was Proverbs 3: 21-26. We learnt about how God’s wisdom brings us happiness but it is up to us to decide whether or not to follow God’s wise advice.
For our mission we were asked to be an example of Jesus today – help someone in need, be kind and patient, share with someone and look after our world.
We are all going to help people in need as next week we are taking part in a fun run to help raise money for LOROS. This week Jonathan has helped Maja with her reading and Maja said, “It made me feel happy because I could do my work after that.” Tailun gave Maciej a pencil when he couldn’t find his own. Maciej said, Thank you, now I can do my work.” Wojciech and Oliver picked up any paper that was on the floor, “We are looking after our classroom.”
