Luke 4: 21-30
“I tell you solemnly, no prophet is ever accepted in his own country.”
Today we have learnt:
- What a Prophet is and the names of some of the Prophets.
- The story of Jonah and what happened when he did not listen to God.
- That God wants us to listen to Him, because He loves us and knows what is best for us.
Care
On Wednesday, we celebrate the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. This commemorates when Mary and Joseph would have presented Jesus to God at the temple and made an offering for him. It reminds us that Mary and Joseph looked out for Jesus and took care of him, just as many people look after and take care of us too.
