Today was the first day of our October Rosary Lunchtime club led by Mrs Sparkes! We were delighted to see over 40 children in attendance, many of which brought their own Rosary beads from home.
We shared the story of the Resurrection as we began with the Glorious Mysteries. Mrs Sparkes taught us how to say the Rosary in a group, with the leader beginning each prayer and the group finishing each one. Together, we said one complete decade of the Rosary and learnt how to track our prayers by holding the beads.
Miss Dodd gave everyone a Rosary Challenge tracker and signed it for today’s decade. Our mission is to say a decade of the Rosary everyday and sign our tracker like we do with our reading racetrack.
We will be marking the Feast of the Holy Rosary in classes on Friday by saying a decade of the Rosary together using the Mark 10 Mission’s audiotracks to guide us.
We are also sending out Travelling Rosary Prayer Bags in Junior classes every day during the month of October so that families can set up a prayer focus at home dedicated to Mary and say a decade of the Rosary, exploring a different mystery every time.
