Finley ensured that children and staff alike don’t shy away from challenge this week. He has given us the mission of doing something outside our comfort zone. Can we be brave enough to do something we know we won’t find easy? Can we show the virtue of fortitude?

    I’ve played with new people.
I packed my school bag all by myself.
I have helped my dad cook.
I learnt how to do a new move in gymnastics.
I went to modern dancing for the first time.
I went running with my daddy. It was hard and we went for 2 miles!

Benjamin – I read my story out loud in front of Year 1 and Year 3.
    Alba-Rose – I didn’t cry and I didn’t need the teacher when I fell over this morning.
Kian – In the park, I managed to jump over a really high ledge and I hadn’t been brave enough to do this before.
Alexi – I tried skateboarding this week. I was really nervous because I hadn’t done it before but I challenged myself to give it a go.
Hattie – On Wednesday, I tried a duet on the piano. I am proud of myself for achieving this.
Jacob – I was brave enough to ride my bike over a huge ramp.
Lyla – I sang a solo in my singing lesson on Monday.

    Year 6 tried many challenges:
Tried to do something different at home, drawing rather than watching TV.
Had a go at harder maths challenge.
Played with a different friendship group.
    Tried a different food.
    Learnt binary numbers.
Helped dad rather than sitting on the couch.
They all were pleased to have done these!
