Reception class have learned the word “justice” this week. We decided that it is important to treat everyone fairly. Not treating people fairly makes them “sad” and “angry”. It is also what Jesus wants us to do

Sophie – I saw someone doing something to someone else and told the teacher.
Daniel G – we were arguing in football and so Huey and I changed the game to bring back peace.
Hema – I was playing tag, we had a falling out and Mrs Maksimovic helped us to fix it.
Nimi – when me and Sithara and Monri were playing and had a falling out with the boys, a teacher helped us to keep the peace.

This week the Year 1 children have had discussions about justice and treating others fairly. We encouraged children to reflect on how they can help others and make the world a better place.

Lulu “I prayed for the hungry children in the world during our liturgy in class”
Aliona “I drew a picture of how I can share thing with my friends”
Henry “I shared my snack at break”
