A vocation is God’s call to each of us. It is the unique way that God has designed us to serve him and others. Finding our vocation can take time and discernment but our vocation is a reminder that we all have a special purpose in this world, and we are all called to do something significant with our lives.

As part of our pupil-led act of worship this week, Devon and Alan encouraged the children in Y6 to idenitfy what they think they have been called to do by God. Earlier in the week, we explored the story of Moses and the burning bush as part of our Visio Divina and how Moses responded to God’s call (“Here I am Lord.”) We linked this to when Samuel was called as well as to our RE work this topic on Lydia and Stephen. In the case of Stephen, he gave his life for God – just like Jesus did.
