Witness is the sharing of our faith with others. It is a way of testifying to the truth of Jesus Christ and the Gospel message. Our witness can be a way of celebrating the hope and joy that we have in Jesus and a way of powerfully sharing the good news with those around us.

Find one way to share what your faith means to you with someone else this week. How can we be a witness to what Jesus has taught us?

Year 6 have found lots of ways to be a witness and share their faith with others this week. This has included talking to a younger sibling about Jesus, sharing their prayer during the pupil-led act of worship, telling others on the Chaplaincy Zoom call what their faith means to them, telling a friend who has no faith about Church, reminding an aunty who has just had a baby that God loves her and will keep her and her baby safe and giving to the poor. A couple of children talked about how witnessing others had inspired them, for example, one child had seen someone in town telling others, “God by with you!” and another child had observed someone else sharing God’s love by paying someone a compliment. Well done Year 6!
