Year 3 led a beautiful celebration of the word today all about Pentecost and they gave each class a flame of the Holy Spirit to take back to class with them. Each flame had a different gift of the Holy Spirt. Your mission was to use that gift and to write it on the flame. Let me know what you did to complete your mission.

This week our mission was to use our gift (courage) of the Holy Spirit with others.
Ademola: We need to have high levels of courage for our Quad Kids tournament.
Abigail: We need courage for our upcoming communion mass.
Clara: I showed courage whilst practicing sports that I wasn’t 100% comfortable with.
Evelyn C: I had courage whilst doing my dancing.
Matilda: I had courage in our whole class when taking their multiplication checks.
This week we were given the gift of understanding. We discussed what it means to be understanding and the children created a list of ideas about how they can show understanding in their daily lives, such as listening to others, helping a friend who is upset, and being patient.
Also this week, our class liturgy involved a song about the Holy Spirit, and the children wore headbands with flames on them to represent the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
