The chaplains at Sacred Heart Leicester wanted to revitalise the chapel in school. After the ‘Called to be Saints programme’ and it being the Jubilee year of Hope, we decided to name the chapel ‘The Hub of Hope’. With God being our ultimate anchor and source of hope, we thought this was a great name to give to our chapel space. It will be used as a quiet prayer space to connect with God, a place we can run chaplaincy club at lunch time, contain interactive prayer stations for students to engage with in their own time, and much more. The chaplains have done such a wonderful job of cleaning and organising the space and decorating it to create a tranquil, peaceful area. On Friday the 23rd May, Fr David Cain was invited into school and spent some time with the chaplains and blessed our chapel for us. It was such a beautiful afternoon and we are so excited for the school to use the space !
