Year 2 had a think about ways they had met this week’s mission to be a good disciple and thought of times they had seen someone alone or not joining in and invited them to play
These are just a few of the things we heard. Kit told us how one of his sisters was feeling sad because she was left out of a game so he asked her to come and play. Araiya’s cousin came to her house while she was out enjoying climbing trees in nearby woods. Her cousin came to the woods and Araiya helped her join in climbing so she didn’t feel left out. Rosie let her sister play with her so she was included and Fikayo’s brother was feeling a bit down so she asked him to play with her.
After we had heard all about the different ways Year 2 had tried to be a good disciple, we talked about how we had felt when we made a good choice. We all said that it made us feel happy. We also thought that Jesus would be happy too.
Year 4 tried to be a good disciple. Some of the ways that we did this included:
Layla – I tried to be kind to others.
Elodie – I helped my brother with his homework.
Michael C – I let my sister have some of my Christmas money.
Tofunmi – I spent more time with my friends, checking that they were ok.
Zaynah – I did some research for my sister as she is doing her mock exams.
Anita – I helped my brother learn a new sound.
Being a disciple made me feel helpful, happy and that I was following Jesus’ example.
