We turned our attention to the start of Lent. Our school chaplains prepared and led our Lent Celebrations of the Word. They reminded us of the ways we can grow closer to God during this season through prayer, fasting and giving to charity.
Our school will be fundraising for Mary’s Meals during Lent. Each class will be organising their own fundraising event next half term as part of our almsgiving. All of the money from these fundraising activities will go to support the work of Mary’s Meals who provide life‑changing daily school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. It would be wonderful if you could support us this Lent.
Year 3 will be having a sponsored sleepover in our school hall to raise money for Lent. Further details will be sent to all families after half term via Arbor.
