Year 1/2 led a whole school liturgy to celebrate All Saints. They were very excited because it was the first time they led a liturgy in the school hall. They helped us understand why the saints are important and taught as all about our house saints – Saint Francis, Saint Elizabeth, Saint Clare and St Anthony – and helped us to think about how following the example of these holy people shapes our lives as Christians.
Year 6 commented that it made them feel closer to their house saints because sometimes we forget how important they are. The Chaplaincy team thought about how difficult it must have been for Saint Francis to give up his rich life and expensive things and live only for God and other people. We discussed how difficult it is for people today to do this and how we find it difficult to put God first in our lives.
