The Chaplaincy team here at Sacred Heart have been working really hard on getting their Lunchtime Chaplaincy club up and running. In the advent term, we used our lunch time club to create Christmas cards for the residents in a local care home, as a way of spreading joy and the true meaning of Christmas to the community around us. In Lent 1 and Lent 2, the chaplains have really flourished in leading the group on their own. The children have chosen to mix prayer, scripture reading and artwork into one for fellow students to engage in. They choose a piece of scripture weekly, share this scripture during prayer with fellow students, and then invite students to create a piece of artwork that is inspired by the scripture. It has been brilliant to watch our lunchtime club flourish and develop. I am so proud of our Chaplains !
