Pupils from St Clare’s took part in four events to mark Armistice Day this year.
A group of our Year 4 children joined the local community at the clock tower in Coalville for a service of Remembrance. They sang two song, one of which was “I wish for peace”.
Meanwhile, in school, everyone fell silent at 11am for two minutes to join with the national period of silence.
In the afternoon, our chaplaincy team led us in our Remembrance Liturgy. We prayed for those who have died and gave thanks for those who had sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
Finally, on Sunday, some of our pupils who are part of the scouting movement, took part in a memorial service in Coalville.
We will remember them.

This week EYFS have been praying for people/animals that are no longer with us. The children prayed for deceased animals, grandparents, dad and friends.
