Mission: to think about what God might be calling you to do

The word of the week is ‘vocation’. We talked about how a vocation is something you feel in your heart you are meant to do. It’s not just a job you get paid for – it’s something you do because you want to help others and do good.

We heard this scripture:

We talked about how Mary had said “yes” to God, even though she was scared as she felt called to do so. She felt that she was meant to carry baby Jesus.

Finding our vocation can take a long time.

A teacher might feel their vocation is helping children learn. A doctor might feel their vocation is helping people feel better. Some people feel their vocation is helping others, caring for the planet, or helping their community.

Your mission this week is to think about what God might be calling you to do:

  • be a good friend
  • to help others through charity work
  • to spread God’s Word
  • to be academically able

Let us know in the comments how you achieve this week’s mission.
