Year 6 Chaplaincy Team led a lovely liturgy this morning all about discipleship. We held a pebble and thought about how special we are to God and how much he loves us. Our Mission for this week is to be a good disciple by showing someone love and kindness.

Year1 have tried to show discipleship this week in their actions as well as in their words.
In year 4 we have been talking about how we can carry out acts of Discipleship here in school. Our Kindness Detectives have observed lots of nice things this week – people helping each other on the playground, asking if someone is ok? Celia said that she had seen Jack acting as a Disciple by helping his friend in maths when he was unsure of how to answer his question. We discussed how this would have made the child feel and why this was a good thing to do. This week we have talked about how we should always carry out actions with a loving heart to be a true disciple. Daniel said someone was being a good disciple when they helped him with his tag belt in rugby.
I helped my sister to build her last piece of lego that she got for Christmas – Anais
I showed love and kindness to my brother because this morning he was a bit upset that he wasn’t coming to school so I gave him my phone to play with as a distraction and made sure he was okay – Janelle
On Thursday, my sister couldn’t reach the peg to put her coat on so I helped her – Amelie

Marlowe gave money to someone who was homeless,
Bllue, Ariya and Amelie were spotted being really helpful by cleaning up a mess that had been left by someone else.
Amelie said that Emily had said nice things to her.
Lulu played with someone who was feeling sad.
We sang a song called ‘Love One Another’.
This week in year 3, we have shown that we are good disciples because we have;
‘Invited others to play our games when they did not have someone to play with’
‘Been good friends to one another by helping someone up when they had fell over and made sure that they where okay’
