Thank you to 4 year 6 children who stepped in to do Liturgy whilst the new team is being processed. Let me know if you asked your family if they encountered God and what they said.

This week, we have spent a lot of time in Year 1 discussing ways to encounter God. We participated in a child-led liturgy where we passed the Bible around and sang a meaningful song together. We also spent time meditating as a class, creating a peaceful space to reflect on how we can encounter God in our everyday lives. Through these activities, the children explored how God’s presence can be felt through prayer and moments of quiet reflection.

Cole – “I talked to God when we did our meditation”.
Harriet – “We said our school prayer every day”
Fikayo – “I said some prayers at home with my family and at church”

This week we have enjoyed ‘encountering’ God in many ways within our lives. We took time to reflect in our Child Led Liturgy about how we experience God within our lives and how we might ‘feel him with us’ at points in our lives. We discussed how encountering God helps us to feel…

Thea – It makes me feel good about myself, when I am connected with God.
Nimi – Encountering God makes me feel as though everything is going to be ok because God is with me
