On November 1st, De Lisle Catholic College celebrated All Saint’s day with two opportunities to celebrate mass.
In the morning the whole of years 7 and 12 made their way, on foot, down to St Mary’s parish church in Loughborough. It was a bit drizzly but everyone seemed to be in good spirits with the year 12 students supervising the year 7’s on the walk down.

Mass was celebrated by Fr Simon Giles who was served by Isabella and Daisy from year 7. A small group of students led the congregation in the music and the singing was brilliant.
We were lucky enough to have Neil Lockyer, the CEO of the St Thomas Aquinas MAT with us as well as one of our governors, Christopher Gallagher.
Later that day we had a voluntary mass in the college chapel celebrated by Fr John St John, the parish priest of St Gregorys in Sileby and The Divine Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Syston.
We had a chapel full of students and staff remembering the lives of those who have gone before us.
All in all they were lovely celebrations.
