On the last full day at the Briars most of us were awake at 7.30. I went to Briars morning prayer in the chapel followed by our lovely breakfast. We had our normal game outside in the courtyard followed by some work based on CAFOD and their approaches to dealing with global warming.
We then spent the afternoon getting the space ready for Mass before having a hymn practise. We sang Servant King, with amazing harmonies, 10,000 reasons, which was brilliant and then We are the Free which ended up with everyone on their feet jumping around.
Mass was lovely and we all had a part to play in it whether it was music, readings or serving at the altar. It was lovely to be involved in the organisation of our own mass which was celebrated by Fr Jonathan Cotton.
After Mass we had our last evening meal and then the Talent show started. It was so funny to see some of the people up on stage. There was a comedy act, some singing, guitar playing and one dance. It was great fun.

After our emotional evening prayer we went to bed ready for our last morning.
On our last day we had to clear up our bedrooms, pack all before breakfast. Then we finished with our affirmation sessions in small groups where we all wrote really lovely things about each other. These then got read out in front of the whole group when we gathered for our final big group session.
It was a brilliant way to end an excellent few days away and we want to say a massive thank you to the whole Briars team for making it such a great time away.
