This week’s Gospel, the Beatitudes, presents ‘beautiful attitudes’ with which God wants us all to live, even in the face of difficulty. Our collective worship on Monday explored the story of St Martin de Porres, whose feast day is November 3rd. He exemplified the beatitude ‘blessed are the humble’. Our mission this week is to demonstrate how can we be like St Martin de Porres and put others first in our lives?

This week in our class our mission was to be like St. Martin De Porres. We tried to put others first. Harry was with his mum and gave money to a homeless person. On the playground Austin helped two people up this week. Fraser shared his sweets at football. Elise ran errands for her grandparents who are in quarantine. Matthew helped with the dishes so mum didn’t have to do it all. Charlie gave some food to somebody in need.Phoenix helped with moving house. We tried hard to be like St. martin. Year 5, St Joseph’s Market Harborough.
